Raw Vision Collective, the promoter of the concert by Kanye West, also known as Ye, has announced that 20,500 fans from overseas have purchased tickets to see the rapper perform at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta on Saturday, the 24th of October.
Karen Tjahja, the Marketing and Communications Lead at Raw Vision Collective, shared the information during a press conference held ahead of the concert on Thursday, the 22nd of October 2026. She noted that this figure represents a significant milestone for Indonesia’s live entertainment industry, suggesting that Ye’s solo concert could set a new record for the number of international visitors travelling to Indonesia for such an event.
“We are proud to announce that, to date, 20,500 individuals from abroad have purchased tickets,” Tjahja stated.
Tjahja also revealed that Australia accounts for the highest number of international ticket buyers, while Malaysia and Singapore are closely vying for the next spots. However, the high level of interest from overseas fans has presented one of the greatest challenges in organising the concert. The situation is further complicated by the fact that several other events are taking place during the same week, making flight availability a major concern.
Consequently, the promoters have had to explore alternative travel arrangements, including the addition of charter flights, to ensure that ticket holders can arrive in Jakarta as planned.
“Furthermore, other events are happening this week alongside Ye’s concert. One of our challenges has been finding alternative travel options; we even had to arrange additional charter flights to ensure that the available seating could meet the demand from ticket holders,” Tjahja added.
Meanwhile, Mega Tarigan, the Director of Operations and Maintenance at PT MRT Jakarta, stated that adjustments would be made to MRT services to support the staging of an international-scale event. The move aligns with DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung’s expressed support for the Ye concert in Jakarta.
Tarigan also noted that MRT Jakarta would extend its operating hours into the early morning to facilitate the mobility of concert-goers and the general public.
“MRT Jakarta is prepared to support the smooth execution of the ‘Kanye West: Ye Live in Jakarta’ concert by offering extended service hours, ensuring that both concert attendees and the public can travel comfortably using public transportation,” she said on the following Friday (the 23rd of October).
For those planning to use public transport, the special MRT Jakarta operating schedule during the concert is as follows:
- Saturday, the 24th of October, 2026: 05.00–00.00 local time, with a 10-minute headway.
- Sunday, the 25th of October, 2026: Additional services from 00.00–01.30 local time, with a 14-minute headway.
