Cat Deeley schools us on how to embrace the boho trend in top to toe Boden

Cat Deeley is something of a style chameleon. One day, she's in a tailored leopard blouse and smart slacks, the next a fiery red dress and another? Embracing the boho trend, with a flirty ruffled blouse and pared back beige jeans. 

Cat's boho look on This Morning is proof that you don't need to stash away your ethereal blouses or floaty dresses just because the weather is turning. Instead, Cat proves that there's a way you can still live out that boho fantasy in autumn.

Our favourite TV style queen turned to the great British high street for her latest This Morning look, wearing top to toe Boden.

Cat Deeley hosted the morning ITV show wearing the a flirty ruffled blouse in peach. Cat's exact blouse is the Ruffled Georgette Top, featuring statement ruffles made from a light, silky fabric.

The neck tie can be worn loose, wrapped loosely around the neck like Cat or smartened by fastening the neck tie in a bow, giving it more of a pussybow blouse vibe.

Forever flattering, a ruffled blouse oozes femininity while embracing the carefree, whimsical aesthetic of the boho trend.

By teaming the blouse with a pair of relatively fitted jeans, Cat's clever styling smartens the blouse up. Rather than opting for black or blue jeans, Cat's gone for a column leg pair - which sits closer to the leg, skimming the shape without being a straight or skinny fit - in a warm, natural beige. This is a great colour if you've been wanting to dip your toe into wearing white or cream jeans, and pairs beautifully with chocolate browns, burgundy and khaki.

Cat, 49, finished the look off with a pair of Boden Knee High Boots, choosing a pair in tan to keep the palette tonal and sophisticated. 

Cat's colour pairing serves as an autumnal alternative to the darker shades we all tend to wear come October. Her colours are just as warm and cosy as a burgundy or deep brown, without being too dark.

Boho in autumn - how to wear it

To keep boho alive during the colder months, don't be afraid to embrace voluminous tops (Cat's is a great example), over the top ruffles and layering or crinkled and satin fabrics.

It's a nostalgic pairing when worn with jeans (skip the barrel shape and keep your denim like Cat's - straight, column or slim) and you can push the trend further by embracing a flared jean or kick flare denim.
