Star edge rusher Nick Bosa is reportedly targeting a return against the Las Vegas Raiders on Nov. 8, giving the team a potential boost coming out of its bye week.
According to Mike Zenitz of CBS Sports, there is a high level of optimism that Bosa will be ready to return to game action against Las Vegas. Bosa has been sidelined since Sept. 20 with a calf injury, but the latest update suggests his comeback is getting closer.
San Francisco has championship aspirations, making Bosa’s health a major storyline as the season progresses. While his absence has created only a small challenge for the defense, getting him back at full strength would give the 49ers a key piece of their defensive identity.

Bosa’s progress will be worth monitoring over the coming weeks. If everything continues to trend in the right direction, San Francisco could soon have its star pass rusher back. Shanahan said he had a chance to play against the Washington Commanders on Monday, but now, it seems that waiting is the move.
The Raiders offense is an interesting one to come back for, and regardless of who is at QB, Bosa is going to love the matchup. By Nov. 8, rookie Fernando Mendoza may be under center over Kirk Cousins. It all depends on how these next three weeks pan out. The Raiders started 3-0, but have lost three straight games to fall back to .500.
As for SF, they are the best team in the NFC to this point. They got the job done in Australia against the Los Angeles Rams and have come back to America and practically dominated every opponent. It’s hard to imagine what this team would look like without all the injuries.
