Nintendo announced a three-wave Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, bringing new weapons, additional allies, outfits and story content to the Nintendo Switch 2 role-playing game.
Nintendo and developer Intelligent Systems have unveiled a paid Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. Priced at USD 34.99 in the US, the pass will introduce additional content across three waves. The first wave is now available. The remaining releases are scheduled for the holiday season of 2026 and sometime in 2027.
Wave 1 Adds Weapons: Inspiration from Three Houses
The first wave introduces four prototype weapons modelled after the Heroes’ Relics featured in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The release brings familiar weapon designs from the earlier game into Fortune’s Weave, offering players additional equipment for their adventures.
Nintendo confirmed the weapons as the first batch of downloadable content. However, the initial release focuses on equipment rather than introducing new story chapters or playable characters.
The update will also add new wearable outfits. These additions will expand the game's available character options and customization features. Nintendo has not announced a specific launch date for this wave.
Wave 2 Brings New Outfits and Allies
The second wave is scheduled for the holiday period of 2026. It will introduce three additional characters. They can join players in battle:
Aurora
Smyrnos
Jurah
The Expansion Pass costs USD 34.99 in the US and is available through the Nintendo eShop. Players must own the full version of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave to access the downloadable content. The game is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. With weapons arriving first, character additions following later this year and new stories planned for 2027, the Expansion Pass will extend the game's content beyond its initial release.
