The World of Coffee Panama 2026 is happening right now from October 23 to October 25, 2026, at the Panama Convention Center in Amador. This marks a historic milestone as it is the very first time this premier global trade show is being hosted in Latin America. President Mulino highlighted that this event projects Panama’s coffee industry onto the global stage with the country’s coffee production, varieties, prices, and flavors. He also noted the efforts of coffee-growing families, especially the quality of coffee grown in Chiriquí.

The expected attendance for this world class event with approximately 370 exhibtors is more than 8,000 visitors. According to President Mulino, these attractions help to attract visitors and boost economic activity. He also was very proud to state that the country continues to move forward after the damaging earthquake earlier in the month. The highlands of Chiriqui are famous for growing Geisha coffee, which is one of the attractions of the exhibition.

The growers and producers will have new opportunities at this event to boost business and open new markets. During his remarks, Mulino also mentioned the coffee route in Boquete and assured that the alternate road in and out of the district is nearing completion. Chiriquí accounted for nearly 70% of national production of coffee. According to the MIDA (Ministry of Agricultural Development), the country produced 7,759 metric tons of coffee during the 2025-2026 agricultural cycle, a 1.1% increase compared to the previous period.
