The full game details for Rutgers’ matchup against Michigan in two weeks on Oct. 31 have been released, as the two teams are set to kick off at 12:30 that day inside SHI Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network.
Both Michigan and Rutgers have been having disappointing seasons by each team’s individual standards. Bryce Underwood hasn’t turned out like Wolverine fans have hoped, same with Dylan Lonergan at Rutgers. Had the Western Michigan game gone the way it should have, Michigan would be 3-3 this season, with losses to the Broncos, Minnesota and Iowa. The flip side is true for Rutgers; had they pulled off wins in their close games against USC and Boston College, they would be 3-3 on the season as well.
Michigan and Rutgers have met 10 times on the gridiron, with the Wolverines on a 9-game winning streak. Rutgers won the first game of the series in 2014, which was the Knights’ first victory over a Big Ten program as a member of the Big Ten. Since then, the matchups have all tilted toward Michigan, mostly in blowout fashion. Rutgers, who will likely be heavy underdogs, will look to end that streak in two weeks as they attempt to get their season back on track.
