Morara Kebaso once made headlines for building a modern brick home for his estranged wife Mercy Makini's parents in Kisii county.

The project, which saw a mud house transformed into a tiled, stone-walled residence, was something Kebaso said he handled personally, from sourcing materials to coordinating workers drawn from different parts of Kenya.
He also noted that he chose to prioritise his in-laws' home before attending to his own parents' housing needs.
What did Morara's ex write?
On Friday, October 23, Mercy resurfaced at that very property, sharing a photo that quickly caught the internet's attention.
The image shows her standing beside a white SUV, which appears to be a Toyota, on the grounds of the Kisii home.
She wore a white hoodie, grey sweatpants, and white sneakers with purple accents; her light brown highlighted hair tied up in a high ponytail.
Sunglasses completed the look. Behind her, the single-storey house with its red tiled roof, brick and stone walls, and large windows stood visibly intact, surrounded by green hedges, banana plants, and a partly cloudy sky.
What really set social media alight, though, was the caption she attached to the post:
"On my way to make another questionable decision because apparently I never learn."
The message was deliberately vague, and followers were quick to fill in the blanks with their own interpretations.
Chepkuruiabby commented:
"Morara Kebaso made a major upgrade. Allegedly."
Rgblessings simply wrote:
"My sharp girl."
mokogoti_sarange offered some encouragement, saying:
"You are living life. Don't even question your choices baby girl."
Sarahlangat added:
"Sharp girl is enjoying life. Have you found another man?".
