The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has arrested 190 illegal visa agents and recovered Rs. 615.55 million during a four-month crackdown on human smuggling and visa fraud.

The FIA said it would continue taking action against human smugglers and illegal visa agents involved in defrauding citizens through false promises of overseas employment and travel.
The agency advised citizens to verify the credentials of visa agents before making any payments and immediately report suspected fraud or illegal activities to the authorities.
Meanwhile, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Rawalpindi Circle busted an alleged cyber fraud network targeting foreign nationals.
According to an NCCIA spokesperson, officials raided a private housing society on Friday and arrested three suspects, including a woman, allegedly involved in financial fraud.
The suspects reportedly posed as bank representatives and foreign law enforcement officials to intimidate victims and extort money through threats and deception.
Mobile phones were seized during the raid, while efforts are underway to arrest other members of the network.
A case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and the Pakistan Penal Code, with further investigation underway.
NCCIA Director General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said action against international cyber fraud networks damaging Pakistan’s reputation would continue.
