Hell is Us gets a free major update with 3x more Hollow Walkers, a Nintendo Switch 2 release and a GOG launch on October 29. See what the update changes in combat.
Rogue Factor has released a free major update for Hell is Us, and the game is also heading to Nintendo Switch 2 and GOG. The studio says 2 million players have now ventured into the game’s world, which has been ravaged by civil war and the Calamity. The team built the update in direct response to community feedback, and it thanked players for sharing their journeys, their fierce battles and their detailed thoughts on the game.
Three times as many Hollow Walkers
The update expands the combat system with three times as many unique Hollow Walkers. Each enemy type has distinct attack patterns and demands its own tactical approach, so players will need to master their weapons and drone all over again. For anyone who has already finished the game, that means every encounter now calls for a fresh read of the fight. Rogue Factor has also published an update trailer showing the new threats in action.
The update is free for every owner of the game. It downloads automatically the next time you connect to your platform on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S, so there is nothing to buy and no manual patching to do.
Hell is Us comes to GOG
Following requests from many PC players, Hell is Us officially joins the GOG catalog on October 29. That makes GOG another PC storefront for the game alongside Steam and Epic Games Store. The store page is already live, so you can add the game to your wishlist now or help spread the word to other players.
Nintendo Switch 2 release
Hell is Us is available on Nintendo Switch 2 in digital format. Rogue Factor describes it as a chance to revisit the universe on the go or to share the experience with new players. It is a good moment to jump in if you have been waiting for a portable version. If you would rather own the physical edition, the boxes will reach stores on October 27. The studio says logistical delays beyond its control pushed back that date.
A thank you from the studio
Rogue Factor closed by thanking players for their passion, high standards, and loyalty. The studio credits that commitment for the continued growth of the Hell is Us universe.
