INCHEON — The Incheon city government and Incheon Transit Corp. will run a pop-up direct-sale market in the concourse of Incheon Terminal Station on the 22nd and 23rd, aiming to widen sales channels for local farmers and fishers while easing grocery costs for residents.
Farmers and fishers from Ganghwa and Ongjin will sell produce they grew themselves, including shiitake mushrooms and sweet potatoes, along with regional specialties such as soybean paste, medicinal mugwort and natural broth packs, at prices 10% to 30% below market rates.
The event, the second of its kind after last year's edition, gives producers a chance to meet urban consumers directly and lets residents buy local food at reasonable prices.
The city said it plans to continue holding direct-sale events at major subway stations with heavy foot traffic.
