Colombo, Oct. 16 (Daily Mirror) - The ruling National People’s Power (NPP) has proposed referring the no-confidence motion against Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne to the Attorney General for consideration and recommendations, informed sources said.
The move comes despite Leader of the House Bimal Ratnayake telling Parliament during its previous sittings that the Government was ready to debate the motion as soon as it was formally submitted and included in the Order Paper.
