Admission World Fairs has brought Edu-Fair Classic 2026 to a successful close at Tang Palace Hotel in Accra, marking the fifth anniversary of its flagship international education fair and reinforcing its commitment to connecting African students with institutions and study opportunities around the world.
The Accra event on Saturday, 17 October, was the climax of a three-city series that opened in Abuja, Nigeria, on 10 October and continued in Kumasi, Ghana, on 14 October before concluding in Ghana’s capital.
In each city, the programme extended beyond the main exhibition. A day before every fair, the Admission World Fairs team and participating institutional representatives visited international high schools, engaging students directly, sharing practical guidance on overseas education and building stronger links between schools and global institutions.
Across the series, students, parents, school counsellors, education professionals and international exhibitors came together, with 17 participating institutions and education organisations representing the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Germany, Malaysia, China and the Caribbean.
Participating institutions were the University of Leicester; The University of Law; Rowan University; American University of Barbados School of Medicine; Trent University; Acadia University; Urban International School; Confederation College; Alexander College; Fanshawe College; Northern Alberta Institute of Technology; Columbia College; Expatrio; IU International University of Applied Sciences; Universiti Malaya; Education Malaysia Global Services; and China Europe International Business School.
The Accra finale was further distinguished by the presence of the Chargé d’Affaires of Malaysia, Mr Syed Nauzer Idid Bin Syed Yusoff Idid, as a special guest. His attendance underscored the importance of international cooperation in education and added a notable diplomatic presence to the fifth-anniversary celebration.
Institutional representatives held one-on-one conversations with prospective students and families, offering information on programmes, admission requirements, application processes and career pathways. The direct engagement enabled attendees to compare options, ask questions and make better-informed decisions about international study.
The fifth-anniversary edition also celebrated the growth of Admission World Consult Ltd under the leadership of its founder and Managing Director, Mr Shadrack Otchere. Over the past five years, the
organisation has supported more than 1,000 students in pursuing educational opportunities in destinations across the world.
Reflecting on the milestone, Mr Otchere said the anniversary represented both a moment of gratitude and a renewed commitment to widening access to international education for students across Africa.
“I am happy that we are making life-changing impacts by helping students realise their dreams of studying abroad. I am also grateful to God for bringing us this far over the past five years. This is only the beginning, and our goal is to make Admission World Consult Ltd and Admission World Fairs household names across Africa,” he said.
He thanked students, parents, participating institutions, partner schools, sponsors, collaborators and team members for the trust and support that have sustained the initiative and contributed to its expansion.
The organisers also acknowledged Twellium Industries for sponsoring the fifth-anniversary edition. The company’s support helped advance the fair’s mission of expanding access to education and empowering young people to pursue their academic ambitions and dreams.
The Accra finale combined institutional exhibitions, admissions guidance, student counselling and networking opportunities in an accessible setting. Together with the school visits, the event created multiple points of contact for students at different stages of their study-abroad journey.
What began five years ago has developed into a regional platform linking prospective students, families and schools with universities, colleges and other education providers. The 2026 edition’s route through Abuja, Kumasi and Accra highlighted the organization’s growing cross-border reach and its focus on bringing credible information closer to students.
Following the anniversary edition, Admission World plans to deepen institutional partnerships, expand its engagement with schools and create more opportunities for African students to pursue academic and career goals through informed international education choices.
