The Atlanta Falcons lost their starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. to an injury in their Week 5 "Sunday Night Football" game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Penix was injured on the Falcons' final drive of regulation. He was hit hard on a strip sack and was slow getting up after the play.
Penix received medical attention on the field but eventually got up and jogged off under his own power. The 26-year-old returned after missing one play, an incomplete pass, but he continued to receive treatment on the sideline after the play.
Penix did not take the field for the Falcons in overtime. Instead, veteran backup Tua Tagovailoa took the field with Atlanta's starters while Penix sat on the bench with a towel draped over his head.
Here's more on Penix's injury.
