Insider Brief
- Terra Quantum has joined the QuEra Quantum Alliance, adding its quantum software, algorithms and enterprise application expertise to the neutral-atom quantum computing partner network.
- Terra Quantum‘s TQ42 platform provides a cloud-based quantum software environment with a Python SDK, APIs and algorithms for optimization, quantum machine learning and simulation.
- The partnership aims to connect enterprise applications with QuEra’s neutral-atom hardware, as QuEra targets availability of its 256-logical-qubit Libra fault-tolerant quantum computer through Amazon Braket in 2028.
PRESS RELEASE — Terra Quantum, a global leader in the development of quantum technologies and their industrial application, the leader in neutral-atom quantum computing, today announced that Terra Quantum has joined the QuEra Quantum Alliance, a global partner program dedicated to accelerating the development, deployment, and utilization of neutral-atom quantum computers to solve the world’s most challenging computational problems.
Reinforcing the Applications Layer of the QuEra Quantum Alliance
Terra Quantum is hardware-agnostic by design, developing proprietary algorithms and software rather than quantum processors. Its TQ42 platform, a cloud-based quantum software-as-a-service environment, gives developers a Python SDK, APIs, and command-line tools alongside a library of algorithms for optimization, quantum machine learning, and simulation. The company works with customers across financial services, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, logistics, energy, and the public sector.
As a member of the QuEra Quantum Alliance, Terra Quantum will gain access to technical expertise and go-to-market resources from QuEra as well as partnership opportunities with other, complementary alliance members. Both QuEra and Terra Quantum see their expanded partnership as an opportunity to shorten the distance between an enterprise use case and hardware designed to scale toward fault tolerance.
“Quantum computing will create its real economic impact when world-class hardware and world-class applications come together,” said Markus Pflitsch, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Terra Quantum. “Our philosophy has always been hardware-agnostic: enterprises should be able to access the best available quantum technologies without being locked into a single architecture. By joining the QuEra Quantum Alliance, we are bringing our algorithms and application expertise closer to one of the most promising hardware platforms in the industry, helping turn advances in quantum computing into solutions for real-world problems.”
A Growing Global Alliance
The QuEra Quantum Alliance brings together quantum hardware, software, and service providers to foster collaboration and widespread adoption of neutral-atom quantum computing. Since its launch in August 2024, membership has grown to more than 30 organizations across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East, including quantum software companies, major HPC centers, consultancies, and global IT service providers. Alliance partners are engaged in joint market development initiatives and customer-facing projects.
Terra Quantum joins in a year when QuEra has put a dated path to fault tolerance on the record. Libra, QuEra’s first fault-tolerant quantum computer, is a 256 logical qubit, megaquop-class system targeted for availability on Amazon Braket in 2028, and QuEra has since detailed a next-generation gigaquop-class FTQC system.
“Terra Quantum strengthens the software and applications layer of the QuEra Quantum Alliance, which is where most enterprise conversations actually begin,” said Yuval Boger, Chief Commercial Officer at QuEra Computing. “Their approach and their depth in hybrid algorithms provide new options for QuEra customers who want to translate their business problems to quantum-enabled workflows. We are thrilled to have their expertise as part of the growing QuEra Quantum Alliance.”
