The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday (October 12, 2026) signed agreements worth ₹6,200 crore with various investors for setting up projects proposed in the Godavari region in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan here at the regional conference of the 31st CII Partnership Summit. These projects would create an estimated 18,000 jobs in the region.
The proposed projects include a rare earth permanent magnet plant, with an investment of ₹1,250 crore and an annual production capacity of 600 tonnes of magnets for electric vehicles, by the Hyderabad-based Nexon-Geochem group; an aviation fuel plant by the SAF One Energy group near the Kakinada anchorage port; and a branch of the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) by the Ministry of Earth Sciences for tsunami alerts and advisories for marine fishing.

Trust for Investors
Addressing the investors, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said: “The State of Andhra Pradesh had gone through turbulence during 2019-24, a period known for a tyrannical regime that terrorised the investors. The NDA alliance that was voted to power in 2024 is committed to guarantee trust for the investors.”
“We respect the ambitions of the investor and protect the investment. We want you to prosper. And in return we ask for just three things from any investment – Did the people, industry and the surrounding nature of the land benefit from the project?” Mr. Pawan Kalyan said.
“Come with your capital, ambitions, technology, but also ask yourself what people of the State would think of you in the future. We want you to protect the land, mangroves, coast, which are not just decorations but they are our resources which should be respected. The government assures that it will listen to the investor and keep its word,” he said.

“The leadership which is keen for ‘ease of doing business’ will also be serious about its integrity. Speed is wonderful, but speed in the right direction is what matters. This is where the NDA alliance wishes to take the State,” Mr. Pawan Kalyan added.
Describing the economy as a tool that makes life better, Mr. Pawan Kalyan asked investors to set up centres of excellence and research facilities in their areas of operation, beyond creating jobs.
On the investment potential in the Godavari region, he said the region had emerged as a land of ports, natural gas and green hydrogen. Minister for Commerce, Industry and Food Processing T.G. Bharat, Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy, Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh and other public representatives were present.
