The San Francisco 49ers held off a late charge from the Washington Commanders to extend their unbeaten start to the season to six games.
The 49ers threatened to run away with it after taking a 20-3 lead into half-time, but Jayden Daniels' touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs late in the third quarter kept Washington's hopes alive.
The Commanders closed the gap to six early in the fourth when Daniels found Rachaad White in the end zone, but the decisive touchdown ultimately proved elusive.
San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy finished with a touchdown and 264 passing yards, while running back Christian McCaffrey also found the end zone twice.
