DIMAPUR, OCT 21 (NPN): SportsMatrix.in, a homegrown digital sports platform developed in Nagaland, is serving as the official technology partner of the 25th Dr. T. Ao Trophy Inter-District Football Championship 2026, providing match statistics and player-performance data throughout the tournament.
The platform is recording match statistics and making information on goals, assists, disciplinary records and individual player contributions accessible to football fans, coaches, scouts and other stakeholders through its website, sportsmatrix.in.
Through its browser-based platform, SportsMatrix.in enables supporters to follow match statistics during games and revisit the figures after full-time. It also allows fans to monitor leading scorers and assist providers, compare team performances and track players making an impact in the competition.
Beyond fan engagement, the platform aims to provide useful statistical information for coaches and technical teams to review performances, assess attacking and defensive contributions, identify strengths and weaknesses, and support tactical preparation.
The data may also assist scouts and talent-identification professionals in identifying emerging players and evaluating performances across teams. The platform, however, emphasises that statistics are only one component of player assessment and are most useful when considered alongside live observation and technical evaluation. SportsMatrix.in is designed and developed in Nagaland by Zeliang Codetech Private Limited, a homegrown technology start-up seeking to connect digital innovation with the region’s sporting ecosystem. The platform’s involvement in the Dr. T. Ao Trophy reflects an effort to make structured match information more accessible beyond the stadium and matchday, while demonstrating the potential of locally developed technology to support sports coverage and talent identification.
