Rozie Classic Nurse shared her decision in an emotional selfie-style TikTok video filmed outdoors, with sugarcane stalks and palm fronds visible behind her as she spoke candidly to her followers.
Rozie explained that she originally launched the clinic when her hospital shifts followed a rotating pattern of evenings, mornings, nights and rest days.
The rest periods gave her enough breathing room to manage a side business, and the clinic thrived under those conditions.

Rozie opens up about two family incidents
Over time, however, her schedule shifted to a straight 9-to-5 arrangement. Instead of winding down after work, she would leave the hospital and head straight to the clinic, operating it until 9 in the evening.
The routine ground her down gradually, though she held on, not quite ready to let go of something she had worked so hard to build.
Two incidents finally pushed her to act. The first involved her youngest child.
Rozie speaks about her distance with her child
She recalled that after saying goodnight to him on a Sunday, she did not see him again until Friday morning.
"The day my youngest, from Sunday, I think I saw him the next time on Friday morning, I knew it was time," she said.
Even that realisation took time to settle. It was a conversation with her child that sealed it.
Rozie's child's words pierces her heart
Rozie described breaking down in tears before her child confronted her with a quiet but devastating observation: things between them had changed.
"You no longer do the things we used to do," her daughter told her, then went on to list what had quietly disappeared: helping with homework, being present at night, praying together, attending swimming classes.
"It became so surreal," Rozie said, "and it's time."
Rozie speaks on missing family moments
She acknowledged that reaching this decision had been neither quick nor easy, and that she shed many tears before arriving at it. But her child's words made it impossible to look away any longer.
Rozie speaks about closing her clinic and the family moments she missed.
The video resonated widely online, with many viewers recognising in Rozie's story the quiet sacrifices that working mothers across Kenya make every day, and the cost that ambition can carry when it is measured not in shillings, but in the ordinary moments a child remembers.
