According to a poll conducted by sociological agency Sova Harris and commissioned by the newspaper Trud, around half of those who have decided to vote (49.2%) intend to support the presidential ticket of Iliana Iotova and Kiril Valchev in the 25 October election. Andrey Gyurov and Georgi Kandev are backed by 24.8%, the survey found.
The nationalist vote is concentrated around the Vazrazhdane party’s candidates, Kostadin Kostadinov and Petar Volgin, who garner 9.5% support.
Declared voter turnout stands at 38.1%, two percentage points lower than turnout in the 2021 election.
The findings are based on a nationally representative survey of Bulgaria’s adult population carried out by Sova Harris from 13 to 17 October 2026. The poll surveyed 1,000 Bulgarian citizens through standardised face-to-face interviews conducted in respondents’ homes.
