A goal from midfield is rare. And an own goal doesn’t happen every game. But an OWN GOAL from midfield? I bet you’ve never seen that.
This bizarre moment happened in Argentina, during UAI Urquiza’s match against Liniers in the Primera B Metropolitana (the national third division).
UAI Urquiza’s number 10, Asprea, attempted a first-time back pass from way out.
The keeper didn’t want to use his hands (which would have resulted in an indirect free kick inside the box).
UAI Urquiza did equalize later (the game ended 1–1), but were left in serious danger of relegation to Argentina’s fourth division.
So, is this the most bizarre own goal you’ve ever seen? Leave a comment!
