A woman has been killed and two others were wounded in a fresh Israeli strike on Gaza City, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said there had been a strike in the area targeting a Hamas member and that the outcome was still being examined.
The Israeli military also said it had killed a Hamas commander in an air strike in Gaza City on Tuesday. It said the militant had been holding hostages abducted from Israel, and that he had been preparing attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians.
None of the information could initially be independently verified.
A Gaza war ceasefire has officially been in place since October 2025, but there have been repeated deadly attacks.
Israel's army has recently intensified its air strikes again. It says recent strikes have targeted senior Hamas members, and that in many cases these were people involved in the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the military to kill all the remaining 2000 people involved. A total of around 5000 to 6000 terrorists are said to have entered Israel on the day of the massacre, Israeli authorities said.
Since the ceasefire, around 1500 Palestinians have been killed, according to the Hamas-controlled health authority in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli newspaper Maariv recently reported Israel's army has since killed around 750 members of terrorist organisations including Hamas commanders.
Hamas has so far not retaliated for any of these targeted attacks, it said.
