Nigerian singer Omah Lay was reportedly rushed to hospital after sustaining a leg injury while performing an acrobatic stunt during rehearsals in Los Angeles, California.
A photograph circulating online shows the singer lying on the floor with his left leg wrapped as medical personnel attend to him.
A video also shows the artiste, who is currently on his Clarity of Mind world tour, being carried on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance.
Neither Omah Lay nor his management had issued an official statement on the incident or his condition as of the time of this report.
Born Stanley Omah Didia, the singer began his music career at the age of 15, initially working behind the scenes as a producer before gaining widespread recognition in 2020 with the hit songs You and Bad Influence.
He released his debut album, Boy Alone, in 2022, building a global following with his blend of Afro-fusion and emotionally expressive lyrics.
Omah Lay was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammy Awards for With You, his collaboration with Davido. The award, however, went to South African singer Tyla.
The singer recently described himself as Nigeria’s best artiste of the past 20 years, claiming he was unmatched in creativity and musicianship.
“I’m the best at this. I don’t mean to brag… but I am the best in the last 20 years,” he said.
