An NCC listing has revealed some key details regarding the upcoming budget-friendly Redmi Pad 3 tablet from Xiaomi. Seemingly, a healthy battery upgrade might be on the cards.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 budget tablet has been on sale for a while now, packing a Helio G100 SoC paired with up to 8 GB RAM, as well as an 11-inch 1600 x 2560 IPS display.
Since the tablet was launched in June of 2025, it is only natural that Xiaomi has been hard at work preparing a successor for the same.
Likely dubbed the Redmi Pad 3, the upcoming affordable tablet has now been leaked by certification agencies in Taiwan, as revealed by a recent Android Treasure report.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pad 3 will likely have a much larger battery
According to the CB test certificate, the Pad 3 tablet will feature a battery capacity of 9820 mAh, which is a healthy jump over the Redmi Pad 2's 9,000 mAh battery. The tablet's storage and memory configurations were also revealed, indicating 4 GB/ 128 GB, 6 GB/ 128 GB, and 8 GB/ 256 GB SKUs.
8 GB of RAM and a maximum 256 GB of storage should be plenty for an entry-level tablet which prioritizes affordability, although the tablet's meagre 4 GB RAM will almost certainly prove to be troublesome for folks who like to juggle multiple apps at a time.
Details regarding SoC, size/weight, and other interesting tidbits are yet to be revealed. That said, the listing did state 4G connectivity, as well as an IP52 rating. Pricing and availability details, unsurprisingly, remain unclear for the time being.
