Connor is a 6-7 PF who plays right down the road at Forsyth Country Day. He is rated as a 4-star prospect and the 83rd best player in the 2027 class by 247Sports. He chose to stay in Winston Salem and play for the Deacs over competing offers from a ton of schools, including: Virginia Tech, Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech, Houston, Illinois, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, USC, and West Virginia.
As a junior at Forsyth Country Day, Connor averaged 20 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game. From the scouting reports, it seems like his biggest asset is his motor—despite being undersized for a power forward, his aggression and tenacity make him a formidable rebounder and defender. He is a player who doesn’t mind doing the dirty work or sacrificing his body to help the team. Offensively, Connor scored most of his points around the rim, either off of drives or offensive rebounds. His shooting is going to require some development—Connor shot just 2-18 (11%) from beyond the arc and 24-55 (44%) from the free throw line last season.
