Bella Acapella is Portugal’s only barbershop chorus. Founded in 2008, the international mixed chorus brings together singers from a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds, united by their love of singing and performing. Bella Acapella currently has more than 35 members and has performed throughout the Algarve, including Tavira, Olhão, Faro, Lagoa and São Brás de Alportel.
The barbershop style specialises in four-part a cappella close harmony, with no instruments or backing tracks. Bella Acapella’s repertoire ranges from popular favourites and musical theatre to traditional songs, all performed from memory and with the singers focused on their musical director. The result is a rich, energetic sound and a wonderfully direct connection between performers and audience.
Come and experience the sound of music created entirely by the human voice in four parts, one chorus, an entertaining mix of familiar songs, beautiful ballads, and the distinctive harmonies that make barbershop singing so special.
