Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has inaugurated the permanent headquarters of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) in Ikeja, describing the facility as a boost to security coordination and operational efficiency across the state.
Sanwo-Olu announced the development in a post on X, noting that the fund had operated from rented premises since its establishment in 2007.

According to the governor, the new building was completed within 10 months of the groundbreaking ceremony and would provide a dedicated centre for coordinating security agencies, improving response times and managing resources.
“Since 2007, the Fund has operated out of a rented space. Having this building, completed just ten months after we broke ground, gives our team a proper coordination centre to support security agencies across the state, respond faster and manage resources better,” he said.
The governor attributed the completion of the project to the support of businessman Sir Adebukunola Adebutu Kessington, who fully funded the building and donated five patrol vehicles to the fund.
“This project was made possible by the generosity of Sir Adebukunola Adebutu Kessington, who fully funded the building and donated five patrol vehicles. I am deeply grateful for his continued support of Lagos State,” Sanwo-Olu stated.

He stressed that the effectiveness of the facility would ultimately depend on its contribution to security operations and the safety of residents and businesses across Lagos.

“A building is only as good as the results it produces. Security is the bedrock of everything we do in Lagos, our people must feel safe and businesses must thrive,” the governor said.
Sanwo-Olu charged security agencies to maximise the facility’s potential by strengthening their operations, protecting citizens’ rights and ensuring the safety of residents throughout the state.
The inauguration marks a new phase for the LSSTF, which supports security agencies through the provision of equipment, operational resources and other interventions aimed at improving security in Lagos State.
