The Indiana Fever have parted ways with general manager Amber Cox after their season ended early in the postseason at the hands of the Las Vegas Aces. Pacers Sports & Entertainment confirmed in a statement on Friday that Cox will follow team president Kelly Krauskopf, who announced earlier that she was stepping down from her role.
Mel Raines, president and CEO of PS&E, thanked Cox in a statement, per a post on X by ESPN’s Alexa Philippou.
“Through her two seasons with the Fever, Amber has helped us navigate the seismic growth of both the WNBA and our franchise,” it read. “We’re grateful for her contributions and wish her the very best moving forward.”

Cox joined the Fever in 2024, replacing Lin Dunn, who moved into a special adviser role after previously serving as chief operating officer of the Dallas Wings. During her two seasons in charge, Indiana compiled a 52-36 regular-season record and went 5-6 in the playoffs.
This season, despite producing the highest-scoring offense in WNBA history, the Fever finished as the No. 6 seed and were eliminated in the first round. Indiana entered the campaign with legitimate title aspirations after losing out in Game 5 of the Finals last time around.
The Big Three of Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston all earned All-Star selections, with Mitchell finishing second in the league in scoring and Clark ranking second in assists and third in scoring. However, consistent defensive struggles meant that the Fever have chosen a major reset in the front office after the postseason disappointment
Mitchell, Indiana’s No. 2 overall pick in 2018, now enters unrestricted free agency after averaging 25.7 points per game in 2026.
The organization announced that it would conduct a national search for its next general manager. Meanwhile, Krauskopf’s exit ends her latest stint with the Fever after nearly 30 years with Pacers Sports & Entertainment.
