Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal betting tips
- Arsenal to win to nil - 17/10 BetVictor
- Saka to have over 1.5 shots on target - 2/1 BetMGM
Arsenal travel to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, looking to secure their eighth win of the season and keep up the pressure at the top of the Premier League (4:30pm, Sky Sports Main Event).
Their only slip-up so far this season came at Brighton, just before the international break, when they were comprehensively beaten 3-0 thanks to goals from Pascal Gross, Charalampos Kostoulas and Chema Andres.
Since then, though, they have beaten Leeds United 2-1 and Lille 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday, but this will be their first away trip since that one to the South Coast.
Forest have struggled so far, with just one win from their six Premier League matches, which came when they beat Aston Villa 2-1 at Villa Park in mid-September.
Since then, they have lost 1-0 at home to Coventry and 3-1 away at Crystal Palace last time out, despite Dan Ndoye giving them the lead after just three minutes.
Forest finished just five points and two places above the relegation zone last season after going through four different managers.
They decided against keeping Vitor Pereira, despite him keeping them in the Premier League and appointed former Palace boss Oliver Glasner, but he has struggled at the City Ground so far, and he’s 10/1 on some betting sites to be the next manager to lose his job.
Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal preview: Gunners too hot to handle
Forest have won just one of their last 11 league matches against Arsenal, and that was back in May 2023, when Taiwo Awoniyi scored the only goal of the game.
They have also drawn their last two home matches against Mikel Arteta’s side 0-0 but then lost the return fixtures 3-0.
They would no doubt be happy with another draw on Sunday, and football betting sites are offering 3/1 on a draw and 11/1 on the match to end goalless.
Glasner’s side have scored just five goals in their seven games so far this season, and they netted two against both Liverpool and Villa, while they have conceded 10.
Arsenal, on the other hand, have scored an impressive 18 in nine games and conceded just seven, and it’s hard to see past them adding to their goals on Sunday, or their points tally.
Forest vs Arsenal prediction 1: Arsenal to win to nil - 17/10 BetVictor
Can Saka keep up his record?
Bukayo Saka has already scored four goals so far this season, including last time out when he scored the third and final goal against Lille on Tuesday.
He has netted three times against Forest in three consecutive matches between 2023 and 2024, and he’s 21/10 on some betting apps to score again this weekend.
The England star has had 12 shots on target in six league games, and you can get 2/1 on him having over 1.5 shots on target on Sunday.
Forest vs Arsenal prediction 2: Saka to have over 1.5 shots on target - 2/1 BetMGM
