North Korea is considering whether to resume loudspeaker broadcasts toward South Korea to counter “escalating” military provocations along the border, the DPRK leader’s sister Kim Yo Jong said Monday, accusing ROK forces of firing at DPRK troops and transmitting warnings over loudspeakers.
In a statement issued through the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim said the North’s military leadership was reviewing the resumption of broadcasts and the reinforcement of “tactical strike” assets along the border.
Kim, the head of the North Korean ruling party’s General Affairs Department, claimed South Korean troops had fired warning shots at Korean People’s Army
