A school security guard's weapon was stolen from a campus in Givat Shmuel, Israel Police announced on Sunday morning.
Police arrived on the scene and have launched a manhunt in the area for the culprit.
It was later announced that the theft was no longer suspected to have been conducted under nationalist motivations.
Based on police investigation into camera footage, the suspect is thought to have left the area of Givat Shmuel.
