AshreiTech, a technology-focused private equity firm, today announced a strategic investment in Digit Labs (Di8it), a Pakistani cybersecurity company. The investment expands AshreiTech’s technology portfolio and gives Digit Labs the capital and market access to grow its presence across Pakistan and beyond.
The transaction also marks AshreiTech’s first investment in Pakistan, representing a landmark step in the US-based firm’s expansion beyond its established American market and into one of South Asia’s fastest-growing technology economies.
The investment comes as organizations across Pakistan accelerate digital transformation and confront a sharp rise in cyber threats. Demand for enterprise-level security is growing rapidly across the country’s banking, government, telecom, and other regulated sectors; a market Digit Labs is well positioned to lead.
Founded in 2015, Digit Labs delivers offensive, defensive, advisory, and managed security services and Gartner industry-leading solutions, with a focus on agentic SOC and agentic MXDR, pairing human-governed AI agents with expert analysts. Through this partnership, Digit Labs gains the capital, strategic backing, and market access to accelerate its growth across Pakistan and beyond, while AshreiTech strengthens its technology portfolio with a proven cybersecurity capability.
For AshreiTech, the investment deepens its position in the fast-growing cybersecurity market and adds a proven security team to its technology portfolio. The firm partners with leadership teams to accelerate growth and long-term value and saw in Digit Labs deep technical talent and the trust of leading Pakistani institutions, ready to scale.
“Pakistan’s digital economy is growing fast, and so is the need for world-class cyber defense; Digit Labs has the engineering depth and client trust to lead that market, and we’re investing to help them scale,” said Rahim Iqbal, General Partner, AshreiTech.
“AshreiTech’s backing is a strong endorsement of what our team has built since 2015, giving us the capital and reach to protect many more organizations across Pakistan,” said Abbas Rajani, CEO, Digit Labs.
The investment terms were not disclosed.
