TNA Wrestling removed Max Caster one day after he made his first appearance with the company over "insensitive comments" he made during a promo.
Caster, known for his time in All Elite Wrestling as part of The Acclaimed faction with Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn, made his TNA debut at Bound for Glory on Sunday, Oct. 11. He answered the open challenge issued by Moose.
Also a rapper, Caster uses rap as part of his character and frequently performs on his way to the ring. During his TNA debut, Caster made a line that referenced bombs hitting Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, which has been the target of terrorist attacks at its airport that resulted in deaths and several injuries.
The promo received heavy backlash from wrestling fans, and TNA Wrestling apologized for the "insensitive comments" stating Caster "will no longer be wrestling for TNA."
"Making light of violent attacks is wrong. This should never have made it into the show, and that responsibility is ours. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and everyone affected. We sincerely apologize," TNA said in a statement. "We have removed the segment from replays and our social channels and are taking steps to ensure something like this never happens again."

Bound for Glory, which took place at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, is TNA's biggest event of the year.
It's not the first time Caster has drawn controversy for his rapping. In August 2021, during his time in AEW, he made references to COVID-19 tests being fake, Simone Biles' mental health, the Duke lacrosse rape case and a sexual joke about a wrestler. It led to the segment being removed from programming, and AEW founder Tony Khan condemned it as it led to him being removed from television for a brief period.
