IPL auction returns to India after three seasons overseas
The upcoming auction will mark the return of the IPL auction to India after three consecutive editions were held overseas.
The previous three auctions took place in Dubai, Jeddah and Abu Dhabi. The Jeddah event was the mega auction, while the other editions were held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The December 16 auction will bring all 10 franchises together to prepare their squads for the 2027 season. The December 15 briefing is expected to provide teams with details ahead of the player auction.
