Real Madrid have emerged as a potential destination for Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro, with the Spanish international reportedly open to returning to La Liga.
According to Bernabeu Digital, Porro has reappeared on Real Madrid’s radar as uncertainty grows around his long-term future in England.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are also monitoring the defender, setting up the possibility of another transfer battle between the Spanish rivals.
However, any deal will be complicated by Porro’s contract with Tottenham, which runs until 2031, and the Premier League club’s reluctance to lose a player who remains an important part of their plans.
Real Madrid renew interest in Pedro Porro
Porro has previously attracted Real Madrid’s attention, while his performances in England have kept him on the radar of Spanish football’s leading clubs.
Notably, this time, his desire to return to Spain could make a future transfer worth exploring.

As far as Barcelona are concerned, the Catalan club will first need to complete departures before pursuing a move, with Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde among the players whose situations could influence their plans.
Porro’s connection with Lamine Yamal during the 2026 World Cup has also been cited as a factor behind Barcelona’s interest.
Nevertheless, neither club’s enquiry should be mistaken for a formal bid at this stage.
Tottenham contract makes Pedro Porro transfer difficult
Tottenham recently extended Porro’s contract until 2031, giving the London club a strong negotiating position.
They have little incentive to sell a player they have committed to for the long term, meaning Real Madrid or Barcelona would likely need to present an attractive proposal to make progress.
Porro’s desire to return to La Liga could become relevant if he decides to pursue a new challenge, but that alone will not guarantee a transfer.

Tottenham’s stance and the financial terms of any potential deal remain significant obstacles.
How will Real Madrid accommodate Porro?
For Real Madrid, the question is whether interest will develop into a serious pursuit.
This is because Jose Mourinho already has two top-quality options on the right flank, including Trent Alexander-Arnold and Denzel Dumfries.
Hence, signing another specialist would require clarity about the squad’s priorities.
For now, though, Tottenham hold the strongest position because of the defender’s long contract.
A return to Spain remains a possibility, but the next move will depend on what kind of changes Real Madrid, or Barcelona for that matter, want.
