New York Knicks star guard Jalen Brunson put on insane heroics, leading the Knicks to their first championship in 53 years. Brunson delivered several clutch moments, including a 45-point Game 5 to close out the series. But in a recent NBA GM survey, NBA general managers picked Stephen Curry overwhelmingly over Jalen Brunson when asked which player they would want taking the shot with the game on the line.
Curry secured 50% of the vote, with Jalen Brunson in second at 17%. The Lakers’ Luka Doncic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander both tied for third at 10%. Kevin Durant ranked fifth at 7%. Curry was at the top of the list last year, with 47% of general managers saying they would want Curry to take the last shot.
