There's a new No. 1.
In the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll released Sunday, Georgia overtook Texas football. The Longhorns dropped six spots to No. 7 in the country after they lost 27-24 to Oklahoma; the Sooners received a few votes, but they did not crack the rankings.

The Bulldogs beat SEC rival Alabama, which held steady at No. 6. But the biggest shock of the rankings was Will Stein's Kentucky Wildcats rising 11 spots to No. 15 after their overtime win over LSU, which dropped to No. 22.
Other movement includes Northwestern cracking the top 25 after a 45-14 win over Ball State; the Wildcats next play a Michigan State team led by former Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald on Saturday. As one Big Ten school rises, another falls because Oregon dropped out completely after losing 17-15 to UCLA, which rose nine spots.
