TUMPAT: The family of Norhazwani Ibrahim, a 35-year-old border agency officer allegedly murdered by her husband, continues to receive support from friends, relatives and well-wishers.
Her eldest brother, Amran, 59, said they deeply appreciated the visits and concern shown by those offering their condolences.
Norhazwani worked for the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA) and was stationed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
"Since the first day my youngest sister passed away, our family has been receiving visitors non-stop.
"Apart from relatives and neighbours, her colleagues from MCBA at KLIA have also visited us and brought contributions of essential items," he said.
He was speaking to reporters after receiving a visit from Kelantan Welfare director Che Samsuzuki Che Noh at his home in Kampung Telaga Lanas.
Asked about the well-being of his two young nieces following their mother's death, Amran said both children were physically well and gradually coming to terms with their loss.
"The younger one sometimes still asks me to arrange a video call with her mother, as they used to do every morning.
"When I explain to her that her mother is no longer here, she understands," he said.
Amran said the children had also been asking him to take them to their mother's grave near their home every day.
"They want to visit their mother's grave every day to ease their longing for her," he added.
Norhazwani was allegedly murdered at her home in the KLIA quarters in Nilai, Negri Sembilan, last Thursday.
