The Green Bay Packers improved to 4-2 on the season with a 23-13 home win over Dak Prescott’s Cowboys that shed light on an NFL record the home team set. A worrisome Tucker Kraft injury put a damper on the win one week before a crucial road trip to play the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
Afterward, Zach Kruse of the Packers Wire laid out what LaFleur thought of his team’s missed opportunities in what could have been a more decisive win.
“We left a lot out there. We had opportunities to put our foot on their throat…Had penalties, drops. We have to play cleaner football,” LaFleur said.

The Packers didn’t get, or need, much help from their running game as Pierre Strong Jr. was their leading rusher with a measly 28 yards. Matthew Golden continued his breakout season, leading the team with a huge reception for a touchdown early and leading the Packers in yards.
Christian Watson chipped in 64 receiving yards while Strong Jr. added 39 and Kraft had 37. The impressive performances on offense had fans wondering if the Packers, led by quarterback Jordan Love, have another gear in them just waiting to be used in Week 7 against a Lions defense that has struggled with injuries and giving up big plays.
The Packers are far from a juggernaut right now, but they are playing solid football and it starts at the top. LaFleur isn’t fully satisfied with a win over big name opponent, and knows the Packers must play better. Week 7 will give his team another chance in what should be an exciting one in the NFC North.
