The body of a young woman was recovered from Neha Apartment in Hengrabari, Guwahati, on Tuesday, prompting police to reach the spot and initiate an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
The deceased has been identified as Dolly Kashyap, a resident of Sualkuchi in Assam. She was reportedly staying at Neha Apartment as a tenant and was employed at an insurance company.
According to reports, Dispur police reached the apartment following the discovery and recovered the woman’s body from the premises. The recovery has raised questions about the circumstances that led to her death.
The exact cause of death has not yet been established. It is also unclear whether any suspicious circumstances were found at the scene.
Furthermore, a 34-year-old ICICI Bank manager has been arrested in connection with the case. The accused has been identified as Biswanath Das, son of Prafulla Kumar Das, a resident of Arrah village and post office under Adra Police Station in West Bengal’s Puruliya district.
