The Minnesota Vikings may be undefeated in 2026 with a record of 5-0 through so many weeks, but they are far from a perfect team. The offense is having some growing pains, but is finding its way. The defense is among the best but has some depth issues that could expose them if any injuries were to occur.
That got us thinking after seeing a recent piece published by Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox. He discussed several trade candidates and their value at this point in the season. We went through the list and thought some of the players could make sense for the Vikings.
One of them was Los Angeles Chargers pass rusher Khalil Mack.
They suggest he could be acquired for a fourth-round pick and discuss the reason for a trade, stating, "Chargers pass-rusher Khalil Mack retains the top spot on our list, which should surprise no one. Los Angeles fell to 0-5 on Sunday, while Mack continues to be a legitimate difference-maker. Mack has logged three sacks, 15 tackles, five tackles for loss, and 10 quarterback pressures. He's also playing on a one-year deal and should be interested in playing for a team that could get him his first career playoff win. . .Mack should be the top target for any team with Super Bowl aspirations that happens to need help rushing opposing passers. It'll be a fairly significant surprise if he remains in Los Angeles beyond next month's deadline."
The Vikings have enjoyed Dallas Turner's breakout. The veteran presence of Kyle Van Noy has also been nice, and of course, they still have Andrew Van Ginkel. All that being said, adding someone like Mack for cheap and for a potential Super Bowl run makes sense.
