The investigation officer has named suspended Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and other accused in the May 9 Radio Pakistan attack case. The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Peshawar adjourned the hearing until October 28 as Judge Wali Muhammad was on leave. Investigation Officer Khushal Khan appeared before the court and submitted the challan to the Deputy Public Prosecutor. The challan also names Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Kamran Bangash, Irfan Saleem and Amir Chamkani. Investigators reviewed NADRA and Punjab Forensic Science Agency reports, video footage and other evidence relating to the identification of the accused. At the previous hearing on September 28, the investigation officer had sought more time to submit the challan. The court had directed him to complete the process. Taimur Saleem Jhagra has maintained that the investigation was completed in 2023 and his name was not included in the case at that time. He said investigators nominated him later. The court will hear the case again on October 28.
