CCC gives Tk 36.7 lakh in Durga Puja aid

The Chattogram City Corporation yesterday distributed Tk 36.7 lakh in financial assistance among 294 puja mandaps, major celebration committees and Harijan communities ahead of Durga Puja.

Of the amount, Tk 14.7 lakh was allocated for generator fuel, with each mandap receiving Tk 5,000 to ensure uninterrupted electricity during the festivities. CCC Mayor Shahadat Hossain announced the assistance and handed over cheques at an event at the Theatre Institute Chattogram.
