A legendary Formula 1 star made a pit stop for a different kind of fueling up at a beloved Central Texas barbecue joint before his next big race. Scuderia Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc dined at Terry Black's Barbecue while in Austin this week for the F1 United States Grand Prix.
The Texas-born BBQ restaurant chain shared photos of Leclerc's visit on Wednesday, October 21 to Terry Black's original Austin location on Barton Springs Road. In the Instagram post, Leclerc posed for a photo in front of the restaurant and another alongside Terry Black's staff and pitmasters.
"Great having Charles Leclerc join us at Terry Black's Austin last night," Terry Black's caption said. "Welcome to Texas F1 fans."
Leclerc is one of several F1 drivers competing in this year's U.S. Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas from Thursday, October 22 to Sunday, October 25. He, alongside his Ferrari teammate, Lewis Hamilton, are recognized as some of the best F1 drivers in the world.

Leclerc has won nine F1 races for Ferrari since his debut in 2018, while Hamilton has secured a record 106 total Grand Prix wins in his F1 career since 2007 at McLaren, Mercedes and now Ferrari.
Terry Black's Barbecue is one of the most popular BBQ joints in Austin for its famous trays of smoked meats, attracting tourists and celebrities from far and wide.
The fast-growing Austin chain has served dozens of big names over the years at its various Texas locations including Becky G, Justin Timberlake and even another F1 driver, Oscar Piastri of McLaren, last year.
