A man in his 70s suspected of killing his wife in Jeonju, Jeonbuk State, was arrested in Seocheon, South Chungcheong Province.
A woman in her 70s was found stabbed to death at an apartment building in Jeonju's Deokjin District at about 5 p.m. on the 14th, the Jeonbuk State Police Agency said.
Police responded to a report that blood had been found at the building's entrance and discovered the victim's body at the scene.
Investigators identified the victim's husband, a man in his 70s surnamed A, as the prime suspect and arrested him in Seocheon County, South Chungcheong Province, at about 8:40 p.m. the same day.
A is believed to have driven his own car from Jeonju to Seocheon after the killing.
Police plan to question A to determine the motive and the circumstances of the case.
