Juventus have identified Fiorentina midfielder Cher Ndour as a potential transfer target, but the Bianconeri could struggle to prise the Italian away from Florence. According to Gazzetta dello Sport via Calciomercato, the Turin giants are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old, who has established himself as an increasingly important figure under Paolo Vanoli.
The midfielder’s impressive development has drawn interest from several clubs, with Liverpool also reportedly monitoring his situation. Milan were also keen to sign Ndour last summer, but Fiorentina refused to negotiate the player’s sale.
Ndour joined Fiorentina from Paris Saint-Germain in February 2025 after loan spells at Braga and Besiktas. The former Atalanta youth academy starlet has continued to develop in Serie A and earned a prominent role with Italy’s Under-21 side under Silvio Baldini.
Juventus’ interest reflects their desire to strengthen their midfield with promising Italian talent. Ndour’s physical presence, versatility and potential make him an appealing option as the record-time Italian champions consider their long-term plans in the middle of the park.
However, Fiorentina have no intention of sanctioning Ndour’s departure in the near future. La Viola believe the youngster could develop into a major star in Florence and eventually become a cornerstone of their project.
Our take on Juventus & Ndour
Ndour’s growing importance to Vanoli further complicates Juventus’ pursuit, as Fiorentina would be reluctant to weaken their midfield by losing a player they consider central to their future.
Liverpool’s reported interest could further complicate the matter, even though neither side has publicly confirmed a formal offer. For now, Juventus must remain patient and monitor Ndour’s progress.
Unless Fiorentina change their stance, a potential move to Turin looks difficult to complete. With the Florence outfit determined to retain one of their most promising young players, Juventus may need to look elsewhere for midfield reinforcements.
