ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that party founder Imran Khan has authorised Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas to hold talks, ARY News reported.
Speaking to the media outside Parliament House, Barrister Gohar said discussions were held on the situation following the imposition of Governor’s Rule and emergency measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said there were no bitterness or tensions in the discussions.
He said the matter should be resolved once and for all and called for strengthening Parliament.
Barrister Gohar alleged that a group was trying to create a rift between PTI and a major state institution. He also acknowledged the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army.
Referring to the political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the PTI chairman said that picking up the chief minister of a smaller province would not improve the situation.
He said the party’s long march should conclude, after which meetings with Bushra Bibi should be allowed and the sisters of the PTI founder should be released.
Barrister Gohar also said that PTI MNA Naseem Shah had been arrested on Monday.
“You have seven governments, while our government was taken away through deception,” he said.
The PTI chairman further said that the Peshawar High Court would hear a case against the imposition of Governor’s Rule on Tuesday.
