Alexander Volkanovski vs. Movsar Evloev is finally here!
UFC’s Featherweight title is on the line TODAY (Sat., Oct. 24, 2026) inside Etihad Arena on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, as the legendary “Great” puts his championship (and legacy) on the line against one of the division’s most dangerous undefeated contenders at UFC 333 (full results here).
Volkanovski has already cemented himself among the greatest Featherweights in UFC history, but somehow, there is still more to prove. After suffering back-to-back knockout losses that could have marked the beginning of the end for most fighters, the Australian rebuilt himself, reclaimed the 145-pound throne and once again finds himself defending his place at the top.
Standing across from him is Evloev, the undefeated Russian who has quietly carved through the Featherweight division with 10 consecutive UFC victories. Evloev may not have produced the highlight-reel finishes of some of his fellow contenders (none, actually), but his unbeaten record and suffocating style have made him one of the division’s biggest threats. Now, he finally gets the opportunity to prove he belongs among the elite.
Can Volkanovski add another legendary chapter to his career, or will Evloev’s undefeated run continue with the biggest victory of his career? Follow along below for live “Volkanovski vs. Evloev” round-by-round updates and full fight recap below:
Round one:
Movsar, the challenger, was first to the cage, making a cool, calm and collected walk to the Octagon to the sound of some electric Russian ballad. Then, it was Volkanovski’s turn, walking out to his signature Men at Work anthem … so awesome. The referee in charge of the action was the esteemed Marc Goddard. And after Bruce Buffer introduced both fighters, we were off and punching …
Volk got the action started with a few inside low kicks, as Movsar tried to find his range, shadow boxing and trying to gauge the proper distance. Movsar pumped a left jab, then a nice kick to the body as Volk landed a nice overhand right. Another low kick from Volk, then a jab and overhand right as he pressed Movsar against the cage. Volk drilled him with a nice right hand on the break, but Movsar was able to land a takedown, but Volk returned to his feet ridiculously fast. Hard overhand right from Volk connected again and Movsar was able to secure another brief takedown before they returned to the center of the cage. Movsar scored another takedown along the cage and drilled Volk with a hard left hook on the break, his best connection of the fight thus far. Volk with a nice barrage down the stretch … and he seemed to take it, but it was close for sure.
Round two:
Both fighters touched gloves to start the second stanza, with Volk once again going to the lower leg attacks early. Movsar with a nice right hand, and he was in on another takedown off a wild Volk haymaker. Volk spun out quickly, whiffed with a looping hook, which Movsar wisely ducked under and turned into a takedown. Volk quickly reversed on the ground, landed a few shots, before Movsar was able to return to his feet. Volk dropped him to a knee with a hard shot on the restart, then another, but the Russian seemed just fine. Big left hook from Volk wobbled Movsar in the center of the cage, pumped the jab as Movsar tried to get his sense back. Volk then dropped him with another hard shot and fell to the ground, and with 30 seconds left, he had Movsar hurt at the bottom the cage, bloody and beaten. He poured it on as the clock melted away and before the final seconds ticked off the clock, Goddard stepped in and pulled Volk of Movsar.
