Pat McAfee often divides the crowd with his energy. While many love his work on ESPN and College GameDay, there are quite a lot who are not receptive of his style.
The former NFL player has been a key face of ESPN’s coverage, and his responsibilities with the broadcaster keep getting added. The latest update came last week when ESPN announced that his show will be an alternate Field Pass broadcast for Super Bowl LXI.
On Saturdays, however, the former West Virginia University punt specialist is only on the College GameDay program, where he hosts the show alongside some great analysts, including Nick Saban.
But it seems like one fan is not really looking forward to McAfee’s presence on the show this weekend.
Pat McAfee responds to a CFB fan’s wish for him to get kidney stones
McAfee haters are very vocal about their feelings and do not hesitate in showcasing it on social media.
However, one fan seemed to take it a step further and wished the worst on McAfee.
“I hope@PatMcAfeeShow gets kidney stones or something and can’t ruin college gameday this weekend,” the CFB fan wrote.
The post actually garnered a lot of reactions on X and eventually even reached McAfee, who wrote: “This is crazy.”
The College Football GameDay broadcast for October 17 will happen from BYU’s campus in Provo, Utah. Steve Young, who was a runner-up for the Heisman Trophy as part of the Cougars team in 1983, will be the guest picker. BYU will be facing off against number two seed Notre Dame, which makes it the most anticipated CFB matchup of the weekend.
