Enes Kanter Freedom seemingly hinted at his Wednesday plans.
The former NBA player took to social media to share a video compilation of the death threats he’s received regarding his arrival in Atlanta for Game 3 of the WNBA Finals.
“What’s up, Atlanta? I heard y’all loud and clear. Let me remind y’all one thing, I fear God and God alone. See y’all tomorrow…@WNBA,” Kanter wrote in a post on X.
The Dream tied up the series 1–1 after a 79–65 victory over the Valkyries in Game 2. Now, the Finals head to Atlanta for the next two games.
It appears Kanter will be in attendance for Game 3, which is surely to be a point of contention for some players and fans.
Kanter thrust himself into WNBA spotlight after speaking out on the transgender athlete controversy, claiming he is eligible for the 2027 draft because the league hasn’t properly defined what a woman is.
Since then, he has vowed to be a spokesperson for women in sports. Kanter was kicked out of a WNBA game in August between the Sky and Fever at Wintrust Arena.
Kanter and Sky guard Natasha Cloud were involved in a heated exchange in the third quarter of the game, which resulted in the former’s ejection from the arena. He has since been banned from all Sky home games, but filed a federal lawsuit for mistreatment.
With Kanter in attendance for Game 3 of the WNBA Finals, drama is likely to unfold.
