Battling for points at 14:30
The defeat against Milan needs to be put behind us quickly - this Sunday, we’re back to chasing points in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga! We host SCR Altach at 14:30 CEST. Although the visitors currently sit second-to-bottom with six points, they managed a crucial breakthrough last weekend.
Ognjen Zaric’s side secured a 3-0 home win against WAC, after going two up within the first 15 minutes - for only their second win of the season. We, on the other hand, remain the only team yet to suffer a league defeat (with 5 wins, and 3 draws). We have been flawless on the domestic front, particularly at home, winning all four matches at the Red Bull Arena under Danny Röhl.
We aim to continue this successful run against Altach, though the team from the Rhine has frequently posed challenges for us recently. Our last three league encounters ended in draws - making it high time we secured another win against Altach! Following yesterday’s match against AC Milan, our focus is now on recovery. There really isn’t much time before the Altach game. The past has shown that our recent encounters with them have been quite tight. They’ve demanded everything from us, resulting in some very close matches. That is why we are fully focused on Sunday’s home game. The main objective is to bring our strengths and intensity to the pitch, while also being more clinical in the final third. We want to play out our attacks with purpose and as few touches as possible.

Following our intense match against Milan, we will focus on recovering as effectively as possible. Then, against Altach, we need to start with plenty of energy and stick to our style of play. They recently demonstrated against WAC that they are capable of playing good football. We have to remain focused for the full 90 minutes and, as a team, give everything to secure all three points.

FAIRPLAY action weeks: racism alway loses.
From October 1st to October 31st, 2026, all sports clubs in Austria are called upon to participate in the fairplay action weeks and take a clear stand. Whether in elite or grassroots sports, racism remains a grim reality. Insults directed at black players, derogatory comments, discriminatory remarks, and racist stereotypes are becoming increasingly audible once again. The Austrian Football Bundesliga, in collaboration with the national governing bodies for football (ÖFB), basketball (Basketball Austria), and ice hockey (OEHV)—through the fairplay – Initiative for Diversity and Anti-Discrimination —is coordinating this Austria-wide campaign.
We all share a responsibility to ensure there is no room for racist attitudes or actions, and to confront them from the very start. There is no place for exclusion, discrimination, or hatred — not on the pitch, not in the stands, not in the canteen, and not in board meetings. Respect wins. Racism will lose. ALWAYS!
